Note Color

Color differences are probably the most subjective area of philately, especially when trying to apply a "face-different" or "format-different" philosophy that ignores subtle differences, including color, but recognizes that some stamps are different enough in color to warrant inclusion of both.

I don't know how to provide quantitative definitions that we can apply, but I can provide a qualitative example that will hopefully provide some guidance:

First and Second issue postage dues (page J1) are both included because there were spaces provided in the White Ace pages. The color differences between the two issues is very borderline. This would have probably fallen into the "Nay" category if it weren't for White Ace. The color difference generally needs to be significantly more substantial that the example shown to be included.

Hopefully this example will help assess the consistency of decisions made to include or exclude varieties based on color differences. I am certainly open to re-evaluating any decision to include or exclude any stamp.
